Candle Care

General Advice:

1-Place your candle on an even surface and avoid drafts/vents/air currents. Do not burn near anything that may catch fire

2-On each occasion, before lighting the candle trim the wick to 5mm. This ensures you get a clean and smoke-free burn.

3-For the candle to burn as intended, allow the wax to melt fully across the top of the candle before extinguishing. This can take anywhere from 2-4 hours.

4-Don't burn the candle for longer than 4 hours, never leave a candle unattended and watch pets and children when there are candles burning nearby.

5-When your candle reaches the end of it's life you can re-use the jar by pouring boiling water into the nearly empty candle and leaving this to cool. The remaining wax should float to the top and solidify allowing you to remove it. You can then reuse the jar or upcycle it.

About the wax:

All of our candles are made by hand using a soy/coconut blend of wax here in the south east of England - Brighton. Soy wax is a natural product and is temperature sensitive - as it cools candles can develop some minor imperfections such as frosting or areas that look like wet spots. We cool our candles slowly to prevent this from happening as much as possible, however changes can appear after shipping due to temperature fluctuations. These minor imperfections are nothing to worry about and happen commonly with soy wax, your candle will still smell amazing.
